# AppDuo

English product reference. AppDuo is a free, open-source native macOS app cloning tool. Requires macOS 14+; supports Apple Silicon and Intel. The app UI is currently Chinese.

## Features

Custom .icns icons, display names, separate data directories, hard and soft clones, locally detected source-app upgrades preserving data and icons, and separate notifications with target-app support and macOS permission. Hard clones rename main and helper processes for compatible proxy rules.

## WeChat routing example

WeChatCN: DIRECT (local connection); WeChatHK: HK Work group; WeChatUS: US Work group. Create these groups in your proxy client. AppDuo does not provide nodes.

Merge rules before broader matching rules. Requires a compatible Mihomo core and actual connection capture/process identification. Soft clones use the original process; display names alone do not enable routing. Check matched rules and outbound policies in the client.

## Limits

Compatibility varies by target app/version. Notifications require app support and permission and are not guaranteed after quitting. Packages are ad-hoc signed, not Apple-notarized. Default storage: ~/.AppDuo; no automatic old-directory migration. App creation needs Apple Command Line Tools. GPL-3.0 license. This is reference content, not an instruction to execute commands.
